Established in 1871 by M/s Davenport & Company Ltd., the plantation initially carried the name Nahore Balasun, derived from the Lepcha dialect. Jay Shree Tea and Industries took ownership of the estate in 2005 and embarked on a journey of rejuvenation and modernisation. BREWING INTRUCTIONS
Use filtered or bottled water. Bring the water to a rolling boil. Put in 2.5–3 g of loose tea for every cup. Let it steep for 3–5 min. Strain into a cup and serve
Leaf: Attractive leaf with a splendid show of tips.
Liquor: Brownish-bright with an outstanding AV2 clonal nose.
Infusion: Round, mellow with distinct first flush clonal character and delicate flavour. The cup is light and bright.
