Mangalam tea estate produces very high quality Assam Orthodox and CTC teas. The Orthodox teas from Mangalam tea estate are hugely in demand from the German market. Assam Second Flush Tea, most of which is grown at or near sea level, is known for its fuller body, briskness, malty flavor, and strong, bright color. Assam Tea is produced from a tea leaf that is relatively larger than its cousin, Darjeeling Tea. This black tea is known for its strong bright color and malty flavor. The Mangalam Tea Estate is distinctive in growing anexceptionalbush plantation. The tea garden spans across an area of 117.99 hectare. Here the plantation is done with a specific spacing of the unit 18” x 18” x 18” x 18 that has a plucking patch of 2’6”. This tea garden is well planned and offers a convenient working ambience. Mangalan is known for its high quality CTC and Assam Orthodox tea. The quality is premium and hence the price is a bit high.
