Features : One of the most beautiful valleys, having ten numbers of organic tea estates. Land topography is very steep and known as quality valley. Garden faces towards main Darjeeling town and Kanchanjungha Peak towards north of the estate. Climate is very favorable for growing tea. Annual rainfall varies between 55” to 65”, temperature varies between 5° centigrade to 30° centigrade.Main cropping months are March to November.

Risheehat tea estate is located in the eastern part of Darjeeling and established in mid 19th century by British Planters. Name Risheehat derived from a word home of holy saints (Rishee-Saints Hat-Home) .The garden is 15 km away from the main city Darjeeling. The garden is divided into two major divisions namely Risheehat main division and Lizahill division. Original name of the garden during British era was Tsering Bagan because of more population of Tsering tribe.
The garden produces Orthodox black, Green and Speciality Tea, Oolong Tea, White Tea, Silver Tips,Hand rolled and Silver Blossom Tea of Darjeeling type.
The local populations grow oranges, cardamom, flowers and vegetables with organic inputs. The garden is well segregated with two main streams and forest from other tea estates in surrounding and these tea estates are also organic producers. Workers of Lizahill division grow finest quality of Anthorium, Dahlia and other ornamental and indoor plants. Ancillary business is floriculture.
