This garden
is situated between Jaldhapara Wild Life Sanctuary and Leopard
Rehabilitation Centre, Kherbari. The garden is 15 km. in the
south of Totapara the home of about 1500 hundred TOTO the
indigenous tribal community. The nearest railway station is
Madarihat, which is very famous for its wood furniture and wood
craft. the nearest airport terminal is Bagdogra, situated
approx. 155 km. away.
The Garden
got its name after the
youngest scion of BIRLA family,
great grandson of Syt. B.K.Birla, whose name is
"ARYAMAN"
The Company developed this
tea estate on the land which was not suitable for agricultural
crop and depredations by wild life viz. elephant, bison, deer
and other species. All latest hybrid seeds and clone plants were
used for tea planting.
The factory was
commissioned in the year 1999 with state of art technology
installing latest plant and machineries to manufacture and
produce top quality Dooars CTC teas in a perfect hygenic and
eco-friendly atmosphere. The local population got gainful
employment leading to better living standards. The garden has
provided permanent employment to 800 skilled and unskilled
workers also generates direct and indirect employment to many
more during cropping season. |
