Ananyashree
Tea Estate is located in the non-traditional tea growing area of
Terai in Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal. Nearest railway
station is Aluabari, which is 8 kms. away and the nearest airport
terminal is Bagdogra, which is 72 kms. away. Nearest township is
Islampur. The garden now consists of four divisions viz. Kalanagin,
Sabudanga, Pokharia and Chaman.
The first plantation
of this garden started in the year 1991 when section viz.
Hamidbari was planted. The further area was added subsequently by
planting of latest quality clones
With the starting of tea
plantation in non-traditional area the surrounding area was
developed. The local population got gainful employment
opportunities both directly and indirectly.
A new factory has been
established and commissioned in September 2000, with the state of
art technology and latest machines and equipments. |
